First you sew a plain seam with 5/8 seam allowance and backstitching at the beginning and end. Then cut the seam allowance with zigzag scissors.
Good seam finish. When cutting this seam finish watch out for getting too close to the seam. You want to leave a bit more than 1/8 seam allowance.
